About This Arvada Home Renovation
This custom garage and shop project was designed for homeowners with a passion for collectible vehicles who needed a durable, long-lasting structure to protect and showcase their cars. Early site evaluations revealed highly expansive soil conditions, requiring specialized engineering solutions to ensure long-term stability.
Working closely with our civil engineer, we designed and constructed a deep pier foundation system extending approximately 35 feet below grade—an essential step to prevent movement at this vintage 1975 Arvada home. Coordinating carefully with our excavation and foundation teams, we created a robust substrate upon which the new garage was built.
The finished structure integrates seamlessly with the original home, both structurally and visually. Our goal with any addition is to make it feel as though it was always part of the original construction—and this project is a great example of that philosophy in action.
